Tips To Keep Your Kitchen Spic and Span
Keeping the kitchen neat and clean is a major challenge for every home keeper. Not removing stains from the floor and slabs or leaving the dustbin unattended can make your kitchen look messy. This can put you in bad mood and can even make working in the kitchen difficult. Here we bring you a few tips to keep your kitchen spic and span.
Clean Floors and Windows
When floors and windows get greasy and sticky, cleaning them can become a big hassle. Take half a liter of water and pour half a cup of vinegar into it. Using a clean cloth, wipe off the stains and grease from the floor. For the windows, take a spray bottle and fill it with a mixture of vinegar and water. Spray the solution on the windows and scrub off the grease with the aid of an old paper.
Dustbins
Dustbins are an important kitchen accessory, but if left unattended will attract rodents, lizards, cockroaches etc. At least once a week, thoroughly cleanse the dustbin with washing powder. Rather than a steel or plastic dustbin, use a disposable garbage bag which can be thrown away after it has been used.
Utensils
A mixture of warm water and vinegar is also the perfect solution to remove stains from utensils. It would not just remove the grease but would also make your utensils look new and sparkling. It would seem as if you just bought your kitchenware products online.
Kitchen Napkins
Dirty kitchen napkins can have a bad effect on one’s health as they attract bacteria and other pests. Soak the napkins in a bucket of warm water for approximately 15 minutes. Add some baking soda and thoroughly wash the napkins. All the stains and grease will be gone in a matter of minutes.
Keep the Dishwasher Empty
A full dishwasher makes the kitchen look messy. So once, the dishes have been thorough cleaned, place them in their respective sections rather than piling them on the dishwasher. This would give a neat and tidy appearance to your kitchen.
Slabs and Sinks
Slabs and sinks not only get incredibly dirty but also start giving a bad odour if not cleaned properly. A cup of vinegar or a slice of lemon is the perfect options to remove stains that accumulate on the slabs. Slabs made of marble or other such products look aesthetically appealing but they need to be regularly cleaned as they get dirty easily. Sprinkle borax powder on the marble top and then wipe off the stains with a moist cloth.
Any foul smell in the sink can be removed by pouring hot water through the sink drain. Another way is to drop some baking soda into the sink.
These are just a few tips, which when adhered to would keep your kitchen clean and shiny.
